The purpose of this course is to offer its assistants knowledge, strategies and tools to optimize teaching and learning processes based on contributions and knowledge of cognitive sciences that link education and health. The current crisis that the world is going through due to the coronavirus pandemic demands educators prepared and trained to give solid and firm responses that ensure a balanced continuity for the learning and well-being of all the people that make up a school or educational institution. The contributions and knowledge that underpin the course: neuroeducation, emotions and stress at school show that today an interdisciplinary work is essential within the current educational field where neuroscience, psychology and pedagogy merge to act together with the aim of improving the teaching processes, intra and inter personal relationships as well as the physical, mental and emotional health of the entire educational community.

Teaching and learning in the 21st century require headteachers and teachers who manage their task under the 3D model: Diversity of focus: the principal must have the ability to break with old structures of the past to focus on the present and the future of the school.

Availability: being in command of the direction of a school not only requires physical presence, but also emotional and affective presence; i.e. being "available and present" for all members of the educational community. Development and knowledge: being a competent and suitable subject in educational management, learning, methodologies, creativity, resources, interpersonal relationships management and offering training regularly and educational training spaces to teachers.
